Why choose Multimedia?
Multimedia is media that uses multiple forms of information content and information processing (e.g. text, audio, graphics, animation, video, and interactivity) to inform or entertain the (user) audience. Multimedia also refers to the use of electronic media to store and experience multimedia content. In fine art it is a synonym for traditional mixed media as well as technological new media.
Multimedia finds its application in various areas including -but not limited to- art, education, entertainment, engineering, medicine, mathematics, business, and scientific research which makes it highly welcomed almost everywhere. Many universities, companies, web, and application developers have reliazed the power of rich media and so many resources were dedicated to explore and expand these productions.
We as IT students are mainly concerned with the use of technology in managing and processing information in any form to create the final system (multimedia).
What is Xerone?
Xerone; The virtual world where all events of our animation take place, a world that’s build from the basic elements (Zero & One) and hence the name (Zero-one). This 3D animation presents three human characters each of which resembles one of the students working on the real project. It also presents several monsters in addition to weapons and automobiles all animated comprehensively to simulate real life repositioning and movements.
The story is about the characters' determination to build a perfect world using their knowledge in addition to what they learned as IT students; facing the obstacles as they proceed with developing their virtual world. Moralities will be introduced through the movie.
Brilliant effects are used to create a very pleasant multimedia experience for all audience.
A certain level of interactivity will be added to our movie as viewers have the choice to choose between two endings: a joyous end, and a tragic one. Some extra soundtracks, games, and the full introduction to our movie will be added to the DVD.
Movie Scope
Our movie is intended for all audience of all ages and interests as it combines both high technologies with the entertainment of motion pictures. Audience are always seeking new means of entertainment and trying to experience the extreme creativity being combined to every minor detail to give the right influence in order to form a pleasant effect.
Implementation
This section describes the implementation of these concepts written on a storyboard that we created; to the animation system 3D Studio Max by modeling certain scenes then animating them to fit in right, then Curious labs Poser 6 animation system is used to animate the characters using the right mathematical and physical calculations for human dynamics and physique . We first describe the interface to the system, adapted from the approach presented by our storyboard.
The animation and rendering systems as incorporated into Autodesk 3D Studio Max and Curious labs Poser 6 then presented to give the final scenes converted to the right video format - to be decided later - and put into the video editing timeline to be combined, using Adobe Premier. Special effects (FX) will be administered using Adobe Aftereffects.
Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop are used to close the gap between Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Curious labs Poser 6 and Adobe Premier, Adobe Aftereffects and is mainly used to create the cloth maps which is either a JPEG compressed format, a BMP file or a BUMP map using the PNG compressed format.
In our system, we animate a scene with a traditional linear perspective camera (the boss camera). Current animation systems such as Autodesk 3D Studio Max and Curious labs Poser 6 allow us to create, manipulate, and simultaneously view any number of linear perspective cameras.
