About Me

IKAIK stands for "Isaiah Kallman as Isaiah Kallman". It is pronounced "eye-KAY-ick".

I have performed as IKAIK for ten years and the style of the songs have changed with me.

This music, like myself, is dedicated to the one, eternal God. I write it for His pleasure.

My Blog

Video for the house show at Make Your Own Records

This was a spontaneous performance of Dangerous Man. Forgive the sideways image. Sometimes I’m unsophisticated with technology. The audio is good, though. Dig it.

Now I have a weblog. Yes, a weblog. I always thought the word "blog" sounded like someone gagging.I have mixed feelings about it. In one sense, weblogging is great because it gives the common man a vo...

Live As We Say

Anyone who says that we don't live in a fragmented world full of inconsistencies, brokenness, fear, and corruption has it wrong. The truth is that mankind, on its own, lives in frustration. I believe ...

Make Your Own Records

I live in what some people refer to as "a little four-square house". It's drafty, which is actually good because there's no ventilation system. We don't really have heat so much as we have little spac...

Sing It Out

A month after I moved to Nashville, I finally found a place to reside, at least temporarily. My roommate is Dustin Anderson, whom some of you may know as the Tide's former drummer. I think it's hilari...

Do it for the people.

Listen. I play a lot in my basement and my bedroom for myself and for my dog. If my family is in the house, they hear it through floors and walls. It bums me out that I don't play for more people. And...

I Hate Confessionals

Last night, I realized a certain double-standard that I have. I dislike about eighty percent of the rap music I've heard in my life because it's about the same three things: drugs, money, women. I don...

Go Tell A Telephone

My mother has a photograph of my father playing a guitar in our living room on Cape Cod. In the corner of the photo (wearing only a diaper, maybe sucking on a pacifier), I'm trying to climb up my dad'...

A Voice Must Come

I really don't have much of a story behind this song. All of the instrumentals I've ever written have subjects, I think. Words can clutter what a person really wants to say, though, and some emotions ...

We Were Elijah

Nothing in this physical world is quite as wonderful as a story. Stories connect people because the human experience is universal. We've all felt sadness, pain, happiness, and wonder. Stories help rem...
