Born in 1982 at a hospital in Windsor, ON Canada, but then raised in a house afterwards, Jeff Denomme studied Graphic Design at St. Clair College of applied Arts & Technology. Occasionally he doodled on napkins and stick-it notes while on the phone or at restaurants. ( now that’s education and multi-tasking! ) Before graduating, he owned, operated and designed @ Fathom Clothing Inc. In doing so his eyes were opened to a whole new world of poster art and "lowbrow art " that mixed illustration / painting with design aesthetic. Soon after Jeff plastered the streets with various concert posters stamped with his trademark style. The only problem was that before the concert would happen his posters would get stolen. "Good" that people liked the posters so much they wanted to keep them all to themselves, but "Bad" because they were promoting an event. After seeing this time after time his mind was made up, Illustration would be his new life direction. During these years Canada Social Magazine also employed him as Art Director. He also did a lot of freelance work and charity concert events around the city. After graduation he decided to get dirty and start painting, I wasn’t long till fans and galleries took notice to his new medium. That’s when he decided to broaden his audience and travel into the unknown.In January 2007, Denomme moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada to further pursue his art career and expand his clothing co. Using clean lines, soft color schemes and simple characters, Denomme stylistically balances cute with scary and juggles your thoughts of running away or pinching there cheeks.
