Thorpe Hall Running Club

About Me

Thorpe Hall Running Club was born out of sleep deprivation by two nurses working at Thorpe Hall Hospice. We are not sure who had the idea first but it was a darn good one. As a running club we have evolved over the last few months to a membership of around 30 people, some of whom had never run a step in their adult lives before joining the club. We welcome beginners and slower runners and recognise that those at the back are trying just as hard as those at the front. Our aim is to have fun and pass on the joy and camararderie of running. As part of Sue Ryder Care we are also out there to promote the charity, particularly Thorpe hall Hospice. The Hospice provides care for people with active, progressive and advanced illnessess, such as cancer. We focus on quality of life and provide specialist nursing and medical care free of charge. More information about the work of Sue Ryder Care can be found at www.suerydercare.org . To find out more about this friendly club e mail us at [email protected]
