Biography of Dany Gattelli1976 the year of the earthquake in Fruili in Italy, little did the world know that another earthquake would be brought into the world that year, on the 6th of may 1976 Dany Gattelli was born full of dynamic thoughts, ideas and an explosive personality. Not only has he been fortunate enough to study in England and France which allowed him to get a degree in languages, he also went on to study business studies and economics. But through the years his passion for music grew and then in the 90’s his real life began. To expand his knowledge he decided to take a course in phonetics at the academy of theatre ‘Bibiena’ in Bologna. 1996 saw the debut of Dany Gattelli ‘Vocalist’ from that day on he hasn’t looked back, he started by travelling round various clubs in the ‘riviera romanola’. In 2000 we saw his career take a jump up when he started to expand his travels all round central and northern Italy he landed a job at BBK in Marina di Ravenna where he was noticed for his incredible artistic talent and professionalism, then came the call from 'Pineta’ of Milano Marittima. In 2001 after he had been working the console of ‘Pineta’ 3 nights a week for almost 2 years, he decided he still wanted more, that there was more for him to see and learn so he left ‘Pineta’ for ‘Papeete’ of Milano Marittima, where we still see him now in his 6th year as a permanent member of the ‘Papeete’ family. Over the course of the years we have seen him in the summer at ‘Papeete’ and ‘Villa Papeete’ but in the winter we can find him travelling all round the country in some of the most prestigious clubs in Italy. Unfortunately in our day of age time is money therefore to name all the clubs Dany has made his mark would be almost impossible even though he left a part of him behind wherever he went, here are just a few of the places Dany spent his winter of 2006 ‘Backstage’ at Desenzano of lake Garda, ‘Il Gatto Blu’ of Civitanova Marche , ‘Il sole Luna’ of Pavia, ‘Il Nikita’ of Bergamo, ‘Il Blu Room’ of Cortina and many more hot spots of central and southern Italy, not to mention some of the best clubs in the capital city Rome and Naples. To re-create his CV listing all the work in his current career as a vocalist wouldn’t do it justice, it would be a simple and boring list from 1996 to today, 10 years around Italy and so far more than 150 clubs and bars where he has made his voice heard and a huge impact on the people surrounding him. The rest of his life is still a surprise he says “I think that its the things that happen to your everyday life that change the course of your life, destiny saves us some wonderful surprises, but other times you have to create your own destiny to fulfil life, we just have to jump never knowing what’s out there, prepared to fall flat on our faces†just like... But its those kind of difficulties in life that taught him, and above all helped him learn to look at life in a different way. Its like looking at a picture of a flower and then looking at it in real life, most of the time our vision is limited to that of a photographic one, whereas we should be capable of stepping out of the frame and seeing it from a 360° angle, from above, below and either side giving us a broader vision and better outlook seeing every angle and aspect... this... is his life... Dany often likes to be compared to a bottle of wine, first you read the label (you create a general idea in your head of the wine, whether you are right or wrong), you open it, smell its aromas maybe even pour out a drop just to taste it see all its different aspects, the aromas how it arouses all your senses and slowly you begin to get to know a person, maybe now you will change your fist opinion that you hastily formed after reading the label, but its only once you have poured out a large glass of wine (because you enjoyed that small drop) that you can really appreciate all that this splendid wine has to offer and really be part of this persons life, then and only then it becomes your choice whether you stop at one glass or get drunk!!! He believes that its better to be crazy with a clear vision than to be wise with dead eyes, life is unique so enjoy it while it lasts. Danys motto in life is that he lives with the belief that life is like an uphill clime and ‘I cant do this anymore’ comes just before ‘who gives a damn’.
