My name is Mikel (pronounced like the traditional MICHAEL). I am a 'hopeful' as opposed to 'hopeless' romantic. I am a masculine, genuine, honest, good-natured, caring, somewhat introverted, mischievous, witty, jocular, unique, stylish, creative, funny, quirky, perceptive and intelligent, meat and potatoes type of fella with a VERY BIG heart. And believe it or not I am pretty humble, too. LOLSeeking local guys close to my age who share a few common interests and would like to date. Please read on further for the type of guy I desire. Eventually I want a monogamous LTR with a guy who really loves and understands me. But until that heavenly day arrives, if friendship should develop from dating I would welcome that as well.Many times in a relationship I have had my heart ripped out of my chest just like that guy from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom". But my heart regenerates and grows 1 size bigger after each experience. So I am not bitter, jaded or cynical. I regard the whole process as another life lesson learned.I am a big proponent of PDA, romance and love with all the trimmings. I enjoy holding hands in public, while driving and at the movies. I relish picnics, giving and getting flowers (particularly yellow roses: real ones, not a picture posting in my profile, please), exchanging little trinkets and tokens of affection, candlelit dinners and walks in the park, etc.,.I'm a non-smoker and light social drinker. I am gay but it is not what defines me as a person. I have been called "weird" and "not normal" but I take those comments as compliments. I have my own spark of individuality. I doubt you've ever met anyone quite like me. Based on several on-line personality tests I scored as an INFP type. :^)MY INTERESTS: I enjoy art, graphic design, painting (oils/watercolors/acrylics), sculpting, welding, sketching, Gallery Hop, museums, biking, fishing, baking/cooking, collecting vintage toys, dining out, ordering in, movies (musicals, cult, horror, sci-fi, animation, action/adventure), music, Broadway musicals, photography. Have a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design (Illustration Major/Fine Arts Minor).STAR WARS!!! I really enjoy the STAR WARS films. I delight in collecting vintage and current collectibles.I'm not a bar fly, but I do like the infrequent Friday/Saturday night out with drinks at WOOFs, TradeWinds, Club Diversity, Exile and U. When imbibing I enjoy anything from a Cosmo to a good pint of Guinness. And I love MOUNTAIN DEW!!!

A LITTLE ABOUT MY IDEAL GUY:I want commitment, honesty, monogamy and unconditional love in a partner. Not too much to ask for, huh? LOL I don't need a boyfriend or husband to complete me but to help balance me.
