Technoclub FFM, Germany

In December 1984 the Technoclub started in a small underground club called “No Name” in Frankfurt. From the beginning it was one of the most important locations of the international scene and was a birthplace of numerous innovative ideas.
To mention the “After Hour” (Initially the Technoclub was opened Sundays from 3PM to 9PM), the first flyers were made, the Frontpage magazine (From 1989 to 1991 “Frontpage” was the Homefanzine of the Technoclub), the first Acid/Newbeat-Parties and much more.
Germanys legendary club “Dorian Gray” located at the Frankfurt International Airport, became the homebase of the Technoclub in 1989, after moving through several locations (No Name, Roxanne and Omen). This homebase grew to become the most successful technoevent-series of all times.
All big stars of the international techno scene had acts here. Starting with Paul van Dyke, Carl Cox, Sven Väth, West Bam, Lautrent Garnier, DJ Taucher and much more.
We have to thank one person, that this success has continuously received new impulses in the last years. This is TALLA 2XLC.
The end came on 29.12.2000, a lot of people thought this could never happen. For a last time the Technoclub was celebrated at the Frankfurt Airport, since the Dorian Gray was closed down.
After the Café Royal, the Stocks in Frankfurt, the Soundz (Formerly known as “Paramount Park”), the Technoclub is now celebrated once a month in the U6311 in Frankfurt.

Der Technoclub startete im Dezember 1984 in einem kleinen Underground Club (”No Name) in der Frankfurter City.
Von Anfang an gehörte er zu den wichtigsten Adressen der internationalen Szene, er war gleichzeitig auch Wegbereiter für unzählige innovative Ideen. Da wäre die erste Afterhour zu nennnen (der Technoclub fand in der Anfangszeit immer sonntags von 15.00 bis 21 Uhr statt), die ersten Flyer, Frontpage-Erfinder (”Frontpage” war von 1989 - 1991 Homefanzine des Technoclubs) die ersten Acid /Newbeat-Parties usw...
Deutschlands legendärster Club, das ”Dorian Gray” am Frankfurter Flughafen, wurde Ende 1989 zur Homebase vom Technoclub, nachdem er am Anfang durch verschiedene Clubs tourte (No Name, Roxanne, und Omen) Diese Homebase entwickelte sich zur erfolgreichsten laufenden Technoveranstaltung aller Zeiten.
Hier reichten sich schon alle grossen Namen der internationalen Technoszene die Türklinke. Angefangen von Paul van Dyke, Carl Cox, Sven Väth, West Bam über Laurent Garnier, DJ Taucher u.v.m.
Aber einem ist es zu verdanken, das dieser Erfolg in den letzten Jahren einen neuen Impuls bekommen hat und das ist TALLA 2XLC.
Am 29.12.2000 kam das aus, viele glaubten, das dies nie passieren könnte. Ein letztes Mal fand ein rauschendes Fest unter dem Frankfurter Airport statt. Danach hies es Abschied nehmen vom Dorian Gray.
Nach dem Café Royal und dem Stocks in Frankfurt, dem Soundz (ehemaliger Paramount Park), findet der Technoclub jetzt einmal im Monat im U60311 in Frankfurt statt.
