Violent Green started to brew in the early months of 2007 before fermenting into a solid line-up in August 2007, combining the members varied influences into a mixture of abrasive, speed, sludge metal with a new wave death metal feel. Playing shows with local heavyweights 'The Dead' and a slew of other local acts such as Happy Camper, Empyrean and People Die, Violent Green have now cemented themselves as firm contenders to Brisbanes regular metal acts slowly building a fan base with raw aggressive live shows.
Currently classified as 'in the studio' recording the first single entitled 'Welcome to Hell' a fan favourite at shows, to be released on a compilation CD filled with Brisbanes best metal bands through Brismetal.com Records. An EP is in progress to be released near the end of 2008.
