Nephilim formed under the name "My Own Peril" in late 2006 in the southern suburbs of Perth. Blending influences from Death Metal to Rock "My Own Peril" started to spread there blend of Old School Style of Death Metal on the live circuit mid 2007. After over year of playing many shows thanks to Keira from amped alternative also subspace, Annhilate Music and many other promoters that helped us out..We Thank You!..Also In that time recorded a one track Demo Cd with Geoff Eaton @ Depth Studios.
in mid 2008 the name "Nephilim" spawned. The new name was introduced after the band experienced a few changes in the line up After Losing Their Original Bassist. The Band went on a break from gigging and in that time, started developing a much more stronger mature musical direction. "Nephilim" are currently playing live shows around perth and are in the process of writting their (DEBUT EP) wich hopefully will be completed some time before the end of the year! So all up 2009 is set to be a progressive and hardworking year..
