One Hand Clapping

About Me

One Hand Clapping is primarily made up of Me, Myself and I. Occasional guest appearances by visiting musicians, streams, buses, chickens, pigs, birds, etc. All instruments by Me. Recording & mixdown by Myself. Grafix, post-production and distribution are handled by I. Most of the listed tracks are older pieces for me, but they are what I currently have digitized. Hopefully some more recent recordings will follow shortly. Stay tuned!Blind Dog Blues is a variation I did along the lines of Police Dog Blues by Dave Bromberg. No where's near to as good as his version, but it was a fun piece to play!Techno Groove is my latest tune. Thought I'd give trance a spin and see what happened.Scratch my itch is another recent venture into loop tracking. Just having a bit of fun kickin' a rhythm!Life of the party is an experiment using a cheesy Casio beat to overdrive a failing tube amplifier. The melody in this piece is entirely done by hand controlling gain and mix to generate feed back from the amp. There is also some backing tracks being faded in and out periodically.Funky MoTown is a recently recorded piece, mostly an experiment in building a groove by loop mixing. I love Garageband for this kind of piece; it doesn't get much easier than this!Inside, living is an older song, captured using two 2-track cassette recorders and a lot of creative mike arrangement. It incorporates some of my earlier work in the form of backing tracks playing on a funky old pocket reel-to-reel recorder with a bad motor speed controller.Blues All May is a piece that I wrote during a time when I was listening to a lot of John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. Hard not to note the influence. Just wish the dynamics of the recording were better.
