I miss the salt water floating in on the warm southern California breeze. I miss the sand in between my toes while im running for the waves, surfboard under my arm Walking hand in hand down Huntington Beach Pier late at night Oil Rigs all lit up while chasing waves in Seal Beach way past midnight Spitting contests off the pier. I felt like I could walk on water. I felt invincible I woke up every day with the thought that it was my last day. I lived every day to the fullest I had no worries… no fears.. just the thrill of the waves Smelling salt water blowing through my hair I never stopped laughing... or smiling I felt like the queen of the ocean the minute my feet hit the beach Long boarding down Huntington Beach The point in Newport Beach, jumping from rock to rock after drinking way too much Watching the sky, as blue as his eyes, watching the sunset rise over the water I felt so alive, driving down PCH, hot sun, cool breeze, and chill surf Take me back to the world where I lived.. the life I loved.
