ELIXER (Mini Album, out now)

======================================================Elixer is a fusion pop rock band originated from "Bandung-West Java-Indonesia".Briefly, Elixer was formed in the middle of 2002, the early formation consisted only 2 personnel, Ahmad Hidayat (Lead Guitar) and Fajar Andikasatria (Bass). Later Fahmi Vivaldi (Vocal & Rhytem) joined the band. After the gathering of the three, Ahmad introduced us to Gandi Wibowo (Drum), he’s one of Ahmad childhood friend, who later became the original member of Elixer and all of us decided to form a band named Elixer that played British Rock genre. At the time, we haven’t make our own song yet, then in every gigs we’re usually performing numbers of songs by other bands such as Weezer, Shed 7, The Beatles, Manic Street Preachers, Morrissey, Supergrass, and mainly, Ash. About a month of it first formed formation, Elixer frequently played live performances in many kinds of gigs such as a ’pensi’, school party, pub and cafe and other places in the city of Bandung of Indonesia. In three years, we were facing a problem of boring situation in creativity and finding lots of differences of vision and mission, especially with the guitarist. That was the reason for Ahmad to resign from the band. But it was not the end of our journey, in that time, we performed only with three personnel. Four months later we met Jerry (Lead Guitar). In Early 2005, Jerry was officially being a lead guitar. By Jerry’s joining of the band, we changed all of Elixer format. But not for a long time, he left the bands. In early 2008, Erfan filled the lead guitar position. At this time, we were starting to find lights in every aspect, such as genre, fashion, song materials, live performances and band characteristics until the present time. Now, we’re usually performing our own songs created by Elixer itself which are very influenced by "Fusion Pop Rock" and “Pop Too Loud” genre. The members also have similar interest in easy-listening fusion Pop Rock. The sound is a bit of the late 90’s British-pop era. The band also often took their romantic songs up to the higher emotion soul, exploring themes of a long and winding road and the chemicals of love. ”Platonic Love” and “One” are two Elixer first demo tracks released by the band for radio playing which is mixed by Fays, those two songs become number one in the chart of indie track on three big radio stations in Bandung from April to June 2008 and our songs are also being played in other radio stations in Bandung.
