I love discovering unique artists, new and old, with good lyrics and memorable sound. I tend to change my music preference fairly quickly, but listen to something on repeat at first when I really like it. My favorites right now are Frou Frou, Imogen Heap, Anna Nalick, Missy Higgins, Royksopp, Sia, and Moloko. For those in LA, KCRW (89.9) is a nice respite from the rest of the horrible radio stations with Morning Becomes Ecletic and Nocturna. I find a lot of new music there and they're playlists are all online. I will miss it when I leave.
Empire Records is the best! Its the only movie I can watch over and over and never get sick of it. Garden State is awesome too. Zach Braff rocks - great story, cool scenes, and excellent music. Desperate But Not Serious is the perfect hangover movie and classic LA. I wish Pink Dot was really like that!
This new TV-series on DVD thing is fabulous. Now I can watch "V" all day long! And DVR rocks, of course. Arrested Development (EVERYONE MUST WATCH!! its the best!), House and CSI (Vegas only) are the ones I try to watch right when they air. I like old schools shows every so often; Roseanne (k-Vin thinks i look like becky), Cosby, and Golden Girls (mostly hungover with Jamie on the couches).
Currently reading The Tipping Point (pretty cool idea) and Book 6 of WOT (incredibly dork, but so cool). Recently read and liked Memoirs of a Geisha, A Million Little Pieces (even if its all fake), Empress Orchid, Forever Odd, and State of Fear (read it! it changed my way of thinking about environmental news). I wish I could read while sleeping.
