Mara Kim - He Is Not Mine
Video directed by Cristian Nuñez Lorca
Mara Kim started writing songs at the age of eleven. It is due to this confidence and initiative that she has been so successful both nationally and internationally. For example, at the ripe old age of 13, Mara Kim was awarded the opportunity to work with renowned producers like Amir Saraf ("La Bouche") or Marco Lehmann ("Montell Jordan").
It was about the same time which, in addition to her vocal training, Mara Kim began with piano training. In no time Mara Kim was accompanying herself live on stage.
And all this work shows! In 2002, Mara Kim received a nomination to perform live as a finalist of a German talent contest on VIVA television (Germany..s most popular pop TV station). Subsequently in 2003, Mara Kim received the "Hessischer Songpreis," a prize awarded by the German rock and pop association for the best song in the state of Hessen.
Shortly thereafter, in 2004 she worked with the producers Superflausch on the song "Infinite Possibilities." This song was released on "Frankfurt Lounge CD," an annually released compendium of nationally and internationally renowned techno and lounge artists (eg. Jam& Spoon, Sven Väth).
Most recently, in 2006 Mara Kim's song, "A Dream Within A Dream," came out on the CD "Edgar Allan Poe - Visionen." It is a testament to the positive reception of this track that "A Dream Within A Dream," was selected as the theme song for one of Germany's most successful radio dramas.
With regard to her international success, Mara Kim's rich cultural background and natural introspectiveness has lead her to explore her song writing abilities in two other languages. It is no wonder that with songs in German, English, and in Greek, Mara Kim is enchanting large audiences not only in Germany, but throughout Europe as well. Such enchantment is apparent in her international bookings at Kyllini Beach, and in Paralio Astros, Greece.
Further evidence of her international success is appreciable in the appearance of her work at the top of diverse internet charts (from mp3.de, to bands.at, and besonic.com), and on the playlists of some of the net's most popular radiostations.
