Influences: My influences were from artist like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Girl Group TLC, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and a three great men, God, my father, and Barack Obama who all are great leaders!Whitney Houston is an amazing person, vocally and personally. What she has done to music as an soul/R&B artist has been historical. She has set the standards high for singers, with several titles under her belt. She is a singer, songwriter, actress, producer, and also a former model. She has made it clear that you can do what ever it is that your heart desires. Whitney has won several Grammy's and other awards with her pop-gospel sound, she is over an amazing Woman and this is why I look up to her....Whitney has done it, now its my turn...world watch me while I show up and show out....Mariah Carey is amaz-ing.... When you mention singer Mariah better come to mind. Her style is so different, her voice is amazing and graceful, she's well-known for her large vocal range, power, melismatic style, and use of the whistle register. Mariah has won over five Grammy's and has played in movies, and commercials. She is the true meaning of DIVA, through her talent she has open the doors for herself and other artist to be able to do whatever they want to!!!TLC... First off I wanna say R.I.P to the wonderful Lisa "lefteye" lopez....But amazing they were, they were the first female group to go Diamond, they are a Grammy winning group, and still hold the title as the 1 R&B/POP/HIPHOP group. No one has yet to form a group of their kind and have been successful at it. As a group they have sold over 22 million records in the U.S only. This is commendable, and I've love this group then and I love them now...Janet Jackson...is a singer-songwriter, record producer, actress, and an amazing dancer. Not to mention she's part of the wonderful "Jackson Family". Alone Janet has sold over 100 million albums worldwide...Janet is labeled as the "highest paid artist" in the industry right now...She had leading roles in sitcoms like: "Good times", and "Different Strokes" and has starred in a movie called "Poetic Justice"...She is amazing and can't really be touched but I do intend to get close!!!Michael Jackson...I dance so you know I gotta love this man...He is one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records—including one for Thriller as the world's best-selling album—13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career—more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era—and the sale of over 750 million units worldwide. Need I say more...Beyonce...super successful as a solo artist and and in the famous group "Destiny's Child" in which she made her debut. She is a singer, song-writer, a producer, an actress. Beyonce has sold over 100 million records worldwide with Destiny's Child and 25 million records as a solo artist. She snagged 5 Grammy's for her Dangerously in Love album alone. Did I mention that she was a tremendous dancer, she has study Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Tap. Beyonce is the new face of R&B, Pop, and soul. She has found a way to tap into several genres that include rhythm and blues, pop music, funk, hip hop, latin pop. This is one tremendous woman, who else but "B"? Beyonce also has her own perfume line "True Star" by Tommy and her own clothing line "House of Dereon". She has not only become someone to watch for in the music industry but also a business woman.This man is amazing for his knowledge, willful power, his courage, his education, his wisdom, his strength, and his will to say "I can"...but as a country "We can"....Our 1st black president Barack Obama... what more can I say?...
Sounds Like: Dae's sound is very unique! She has an R&B background, with a lot of soul and also an exotic touch of pop! She has taking R&B to the next left snagging the title of a "swapper" in which means a singer with the swagger of a rapper. No one does it, so she is the first, and believe she will be making a lot of noise with her wonderful sound!..
