About Me

I was born in Trier,Prussia on March 5,1818. I was the third of seven children and came from a long line of rabbis. Although raised Jewish,I converted to Christianity later on in life. I enrolled at the university of Bonn, at the age of seventeen and ended up joining the Trier Tavern Club drinking society though my grades started to suffer so my father felt this would deter me from my studies so I transfered to the University of Berlin. In Berlin I fortuitously assimilated with a new group of friends that had a very atheistic point of view. This point of view later emanated an uprising inside of myself and was credited for a movement now known as Communism. The Young Heligans were a rambunctious group of youthful philosophers and journalists. Not soon after the other members started to slowly secede from one another because through time our morals and view points were influenced in an array of areas. in this transition I developed the concept of historical materialism. Historical materialism basically is the cause of developments and changes in society which Man strives to live, thus emphasizing by the use of economic analyzation everything that has anything to do with society, such as social class, political structure and ideologies. After the collapse of the Left(Young Heligans), I arrived to Paris where I met Frederick Engels. After some time in Paris I began writing for a German paper in Paris, made famous by the League of the Just. I sporadically envisioned a paper to challenge my old affiliates at the Left, and rebuttled their critism with "On the Jewish Question", an essay about civil and human rights and political emancipation, that eneded up sparking my interest in the working class. The more time that I spent with Engeles we started a collaboration of thoughts and started by putting our writings down on paper as manuscripts, this jumble of work was the foundation to what was to come. Along with another essay I did as a reply to Pierre-Joseph Proudhoun's The Philosophy of Poverty, These combinations were compiled into THE COMMUNIST MANIFIESTO. It was published on Feb. 21,1848 and it was rumored that my work inspired a revolution thus causing me to be excommunicated from Belguim where I returned to cleanse my writing palate. Though through an insurrection at France, The new king cordially invited me to the country after he heard news of my banishment. I moved to Colonge, for a short while but soon left beacause i was arrested and charged with a press misdemeanor and incitement of armed rebellion. Shortly after being acquitted i was forced out of Paris and fled to london to seek refuge. I moved in 1849 and remained in London for the rest of my life though wasn't really fond of the land. it was in this time i developed an 800 page manuscript explaining capital, land property, wage labor, state, foreign trade and the world market. This work was eventually to be titled Capital, a four volume burden that I prolonged to publish because of many other important matters that i was engaged to. I wound up marrying Jenny Von Westphalen, the daughter of a Prussian baron. as the years went on we had 6 children though one died during delivery. It spanned from 1844 to 1857. After the untimely demise of my Heart in december in 1881, I developed a sickness where a discharge of mucus blocks constircts your breathing caused by the swelling of the mucus membranes. This was the portal to my exodus. Through this sickness I developed bronchitis and pleurisy, which is the inflamation of the pleural lining surrounding the lungs. Due to this deadly cocktail I finally parished on March 14, 1883. At my funeral many spoke such as Frederick Engels who said " On the 14th of March, at a quarter to three in the afternoon, the greatest living thinker ceased to think. He had been left alone for scarcely two minutes, and when we came back we found him in his armchair, peacefully gone to sleep - but forever." I wanted to leave a permanent impression to the world and looking back now I believe I left quite a weld and most importantly and idea. An idea of Equality and Independence that will never be muted or lost just in the atmosphere waiting. Always waiting.
