History

The French band was born at the beginning of the year 2006, it was composed by Alexandra who plays bass guitar and sings, and her brother, Jeremy who plays guitar and does back vocals. Both had already tried various groups such as Worry One Self and The Builders, but their new objective was an acoustic duet, so they created The Smalls.

Jeremy and Alexandra wrote a few songs, and after recordings and a lot of listenings, the idea of the adding a second guitarist was necessary. They proposed to Nicola, who had just left his group (Hirock), to begin the soloist guitarist in their duet … He accepted a repetition and the result was very good.

The group took a rock musical orientation, so the rhythm of a drum became essential. Once the number of Stéphane found on a web site for musician’s announcement, a second repetition was organised and in a repetition two songs were finished, The Smalls and Cie was born …

In February 2007 the group won a competition organized by the city of Franconville which proposed lots of concerts to the band and especially, the recording of an EP (4 songs).

For the moment The Smalls and Cie with his EP in the pocket and more than twenty concerts which certain unforgettable such as the one in the EMB, the Trabendo and the Viernheim Full Flavour Festival in Germany, want to continue their adventure.
