About Me

A fan wrote:
"young amateur bastard-gods from a parallel universe swinging through the machinery of time, traversing non-historical oceans and weedgreen valleys with a cuckoo on each side. if music is human, this is not music. if music is irrational, this is the purest pure of pure music you can think of."
Älgarnas Trädgård (Garden of the Elks) 1969-76. They were part of the progressive music movement in Sweden of that period. In 1972, their first album "Framtiden är ett svävande skepp förankrat i forntiden" was released. This, their first album, was an experiment in using the studio as an instrument; differently from how they sounded live, with their floating extended improvisations, all wrapped up in space echoes. Two years of touring made a change in how the the band sounded. The music became more structured and heavier. A second album was recorded 1973-74. But, because of musical differences these recordings were never mixed or released. The original band split. The second album was finally mixed 27 years later and released on cd as "Delayed" in 2001. Jan Ternald, a.k.a. RF, made both covers, you can find his art at www.flepotron.com. Sebastan Öberg is still a musician, now with The Fleshquartet. Dan Söderqvist is active with Twice a man, www.twiceaman.com, see also rhea tucanae, his personal space.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Andreas Brandt, Mikael Johanson. Dennis Lundh, Dan Söderqvist, Jan Ternald, Sebastian Öberg
Influences: Poisonous gardens, lethal and sweet,
Venomous blossoms
Choleric fruit, deadly to eat.
Violet nightshades, innocent bloom,
Omnivourous orchids
Cautiously wait, hungrily loom
You will find them in her eyes,
In her eyes, in her eyes.
Petrified willows, twisted and brown
Carrion swallows
Wait in the wet darkening room
Withering shadows, quietly grow
Potently breeding
Into a spectacular glow.
You will find them in her eyes,
In her eyes, in her eyes.
Lemonous petals, dissident play,
Tasting of ergot,
Dancing by night, dying by day.
Blackening mushrooms drink in the rain,
Sinister nightblooms
Wilt with the dawn's welcoming pain.
You will find them in her eyes,
In her eyes, in her eyes.
