Denizen of earth

Well, I don’t know much about me, but what I can tell you; I am one of eight. We are five biological and three adopted, or better put four boys and four girls I am number six in the count. I forget most of there names right now, but I guess that happens with age or so I’m told. So now where were we? Right, I have a big family. I love my siblings, even the non-adopted ones. I am one of the three who were adopted. Not all of you knew that, but now you do. Now you know a little more about me, and so do I. I was born in Cali, Columbia; underweight and premature with spinal nerve damage affecting my lower legs and feet. There is more to this story, but it’s a tear jerker… So I was adopted and came to the states when I was six month old. Doctors did not think I would ever be able to walk on my own, but during a Christmas service I got up and walked or so the story goes. After an operation in preschool and an operation in kindergarten, I was able to walk with better ease. My surgeon had a waiting list about six years long, no exaggeration. To this day it amazes me how my mother walked in and got an appointment to see the doctor for that very day. The surgeon was Dr. Arthur Pappas, the Red Sox team doctor in the 80’s and early 90’s. In doing this, it helped me adapt to the intensity of my dynamic and diverse family.
