THE GENESIS OF VEDIC EMPIRE PRODUCTIONS WAS A GAME! In 1991 Vrndavan Parker Designed a Board Game based on the Vedic Empires of the Ancient World. Modeled after the famous board game, Risk, with a Vedic-Hindu twist, Vedic Empire as an idea was born. Neil Kalia Robinson designed the map and thus a decade long partnership between Vrn and Neil began.
By 1996 Vedic Empire had evolved into a TV show called VEDIC EMPIRE 'World History As It Was.' Inspired by the massive amounts of rare Vedic Literature at UH's Hamilton Library Vedic Empire teams beagn finding books full of evidence confirming the Vedic view on history. Coincidently, on Oct 5th 1996 as the first TV episode aired in Honolulu, Hawaii, Vrndavan Parker was thousands of miles away in Atlanta, GA.,presenting his 1st scholarly paper on the history of the Ancient World's Vedic Empire. At the 1st WAVES conference, inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Trinidad, Basdeo Pandey, Vrn Parker's research was well recieved and acclaimed. This scholarly aspect of the Vedic Empire Project would compete with the entertainment side for the next 8 years.
Meanwhile the Vedic Empire TV show pulled off its first big coupe when Arun Ghosh network us with the family of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. Netaji, the great Freedom Fighter and the True Leader of an India Free of British Domination had always been an inspiration for us. So we were delighted to recieve permission to present a documentary called Netaji and India's Freedom. It was also at this time that Vedic Empire began producing Vedic music videos for the band Bhavahari. Another Vedic Empire music video called Indoraj edition became a local cult classic amonsgt the Honolulu public and was a regular feature at all of our events
In early 1997 Atmarama Diaz became involved in the Vedic Empire Project and thru his exuberance initiated a whole new dynamic aspect of the project. VEDIC EMPIRE RAVE PARTIES AND EVENTS!!! Inspired by Hawaii Rave party Pioneer Daniel J, Vedic Empire suddenly became an event promo team.
In 2002, Vedic Empire and Bhavahari brought Dj Cheb i Sabbah to Hawaii for a 3 island tour. This was Vedic Empire's first interisland tour. With the excellent assistance of Honolulu's Dj Monkey, Vedic Empire's Chebi parties were events to remember. Vedic Empire brought Cheb i Sabbah to rock the Hawaiian Islands again in 2004 and 2005. For the next 3 years Vedic Empire held regular events throughout the Hawaiian Islands, including Kauai, Maui, Oahu and the Big Island.
In late 2001 Vrndavan Parker was invited to India and after 3 days of consultations he along with Dr. David Frawley and Stephen Knapp felt inspired to form the VFA Vedic Friends Association or VFA. Recognizing that Hindus around the world need a common ground, VFA is now at the forefront of creating a non-sectarian Dharmic Family. Vrndavan Parker was appointed first VP of the new organization. Over the next 3 years Vedic Empire founder Vrndavan Parker was invited to India several times. He toured India extensively speaking on the glories and wonder of Hindu-Vedic Civilization.
By 2006 Vedic Empire TV was regularly airing in Maui, Seattle,WA. Eugene, OR. and Corvalis, OR. Vrn Parker also continued his extensive research into the Vedic past and presented his findings at several prestigious conferances at Steven's Technical Institute in Hoboken NJ, University of Mass in Dartmouth Massachusetts, University of Saltillo, Mexico, Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in PA. and many Institutes throughout India. By 2006 Vedic Empire Productions had become a recognized and authentic source for historical and cultural research, promotions and activism.
2007 has been a major turning point as Vedic Empire Productions combined with the ARISE ARJUNA FOUNDATION. Currently Vrndavan Parker is doing cultural research traveling Assam, Orissa, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh and other areas throughout India. Vedic Empire productions continues towards its goal of developing a world in which EVERY STEP IS A DANCE, EVERY WORD IS A SONG AND ALL BEINGS ARE ENJOYABLE AND TASTY!
