:::DEBUT E.P. OUT ON PWMD RECORDS THIS SUMMER/FALL:::Mark Casey is from West Clare, Ireland. He grew up mostly listening to traditional Irish folk music like Tommy Makem and the Clancy Brothers, where the emphasis was on story telling and simple melodies. As time went on, his musical taste expanded thanks to Rock n' Roll, Americana etc. His own music is a cross between all these styles. Having played in bands as a guitarist and song writer since the age of 17 he finally decided to go the solo path and work under the artist name “Quarter”. In 2004 Mark joined his brother Conor (Drummer) in Chicago and together with the help of Chicago band “The Its!” they recorded the first Quarter EP that Autumn. Returning home, Mark got the EP mastered by “Robyn Robins” the original keyboard player with “Bob Segers and the Silver Bullet band” who now resides in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.In 2007 he returned to Chicago once more to record the more upbeat second EP, "Exit Stage Left" which was also released that year on PWMD records.
