About Me


The Fools for Oberon party was a day originally founded by close friends Chris and Christina in the early winter months of 2004. We were anticipating the arrival of the seasonal delight of Oberon and assumed many others were as well. So we made up a name, a quick flier, and passed it around to everyone we knew.
In conjunction with Bell's Brewery, we have celebrated the past five Fools for Oberon parties at local Detroit establishments such as The Town Pump in Detroit, and most recently, Harry's Detroit. Bell's come donned with plenty of Oberon, cool giveaways, and great Bells raffle prizes from t-shirts and hats to jackets and hoodies.
Fools for Oberon Celebration VI!
When: Saturday May 2nd, 6:30 pm - ?
Where: The Rock in Royal Oak
What: $3 pints all day, free giveaways, raffle prizes and special surprises
Cost: Completely free! Invite friends, co-workers, parents and grandparents
ABOUT OBERON
An American wheat ale brewed with Saaz hops. Spicy and fruity, Oberon is the color and scent of a summer afternoon. Original Gravity: 1.057 Alcohol by Volume: 5.8%

fortunate coincidence

in relation to this years fools for oberon party, april 7th also happens to be prohibition day, where beer was repealed in 1933 by no more than 3.2 abv.
