I'm actually a rather private person, so this venture into such a public space is definitely atypical for me. But I thought I'd tap into the opportunity of interaction presented, if only to read the odd comments my daughters will leave for me on any given day.A quick note about Melinda Doolittle video of "Have a Nice Day" that I have below: God uses all sorts of things to minister to us. I would never have thought I'd be much interested in a Bon Jovi song for more reasons than one; however, God used Melinda's performance of "Have a Nice Day" on American Idol to encourage me to not be so timid. More could be said along those lines, but some things that God spoke to the prophet Jeremiah sum them up in fewer words:
"'Do not be afraid of their faces,
For I am with you to deliver you,' says the LORD.
Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me:
'Behold, I have put My words in your mouth....'"
(Jeremiah 1:8-9a, NKJV)
Obviously, I'm no prophet, but I am called of God, as we all are, to be boldly obedient to the things He asks us to do without having a fear of failure or a fear of man. So, I've determined to fearlessly follow God and "show the wind how to fly".
