When she sings people come in from the rain and watch the narrative unfold. She takes the listener back to a time where the music was purely about the melody and the voice. Under the spotlight she paints the world with sequins, stardust and rainbows.
From torch songs to fabulous disco diva anthems her soundtrack is of one of the morning sun coming over the city. She weaves together the dreams of modernity and its population through the sparkle of the spotlight. Elouise the diva thus emerges.
The album promises to explore stories of heartbreak and the glamour of the spotlight. What happens to the dancing queen when her king leaves her for another? What happens when you’ve closed your eyes, counted to ten and the love your life has gone? Elouise returns to hegemonic love songs of the twentieth century and wonders who actually is 'The Fireman of My Dreams'.....?
After recently performing her own sell out show, headlining the Indigo2 and performing in front of thousands in trafalgar square at London Pride 2009, Elouise is now in the recording studio writing answers to her questions and raising a few herself.
Another Day and Pretender are the first songs to appear from the Elouise album which will be written and produced by Steve Anderson who is Kylie’s musical director and has also worked with the Pet Shop Boys, Britney Spears and Take That. Also on board is the accomplished hit-writer Terry Ronald whose previous work includes Girls Aloud, Dannii Minogue and The Saturdays.
