Marc Piras -Gitarrist, Sänger und Namensgeber von MP3- geht nach erfolgreichen Jahren und etlichen Konzerten im In- und Ausland mit seiner vorigen Band wieder zurück zu seinen Wurzeln, dem Bluesrock.
Nach einer kurzen Bandpause entschloss sich Marc, zusammen mit Maik Ippach an den Drums Musik zu machen, da beide zu dem Zeitpunkt band-los waren. Eine gemeinsame Liebe zum Blues und (Hard-) Rock war schnell entdeckt, und so jammte man einige Male und gewann Rainer Schmidt als Bassisten hinzu. Nach und nach entwickelten sich neue Lieder zu denen, die Marc schon mit in die Band gebracht hatte.
So entstand 2008 die erste Demo CD „Volume“, gefolgt von einigen Konzerten, als Startschuss für kommende Live-Aktivitäten.
Leider befindet man sich derzeit noch auf Bassistensuche, aber mit Rainer, Francesco oder Josha ist schon mal ein guter Grundstock gelegt.
MP3 spielen kernigen rauhen Blues-(Hard-)Rock mit inhaltlichem Tiefgang. Dort kommt neben Gitarre, Bass und Drums ebenso die Bluesharp und die Resonatorgitarre zum Einsatz.
After successful years and a number of concerts in Germany and abroad, Marc Piras – guitarist, lead, and founder of MP3 – is heading back to the roots with his band: the blues rock.
After a short break from music, Marc and Maik Ippach (drums) decided to join musically again. Both were band-less at that time. Both discovered a mutual love for blues and (hard) rock, jammed a few times and won Rainer Schmidt as bass player. Slowly but steadily songs were added to the repertoire that Marc provided from earlier band experience.
In 2008 the band released their first demo – Volume – followed by several concerts, a start for MP3’s future live activities. Though still looking for a permanent bass player, MP3’s cadre is temporarily complete with Rainer, Francesco, or Josha who join from time to time.
MP3 plays rough blues (hard) rock with lyrics touching the depths of hearts. Besides guitar, bass, and drums, blues harp and resonator guitar add to musical variety.
