Still Life Punk is the punk Rock department of Still Life Promotions, We have set this up 1 to specialise in Punk Rock and 2 to keep up with demand.
Still Life Promotions is very much in its infancy as it was only formed in June 2006 and is still in the set up stage.Still Life is the brainchild of Jeff Watson and Dom Harper and we reside in the centre of the music World (Redditch), To those of you who do not know Redditch it is the Home and Birth place of one John Henry Bonham (LED ZEPPLIN).Other people who have lived in Redditch are Rik Mayall (the young ones,Bottom and Kevin Turvey) and the other one from the Pet Shop Boys whose Name escapes me at this time!Brian May (Queen) and The Wonderstuff have both Rec Albums in Redditch and Nigel Clarke former Front Man of Dodgy has a Studio here.So to Say we know a bit about Entertainment is an understatement.Jeff Watson has been Promoting in and around Redditch for 10 Years now and with Sean Dell and Zero Promotions put on the First indoor all day Festival where a total of 12 Bands played in 12 Hours. We were also the first to organise anual Indoor/Outdoor all day Charity Concerts in Redditch, Although some CHEEKY copy cats called CROSS FEST Claim this Honour to be there's! Jeff has worked with some very Professional Artists including Reg Jones Ex Way of Life (which inculded Dave pegg of Jethro Tull and John Bonham of Led Zepplin), Melvin Hancox Ex Vincent Flatts & Macc and the Boys,John Hill Ex Robert Plant Band and Kex Gorin Ex Magnum.Jeff Has also Worked with some of the best tribute bands in the Country Including The Essex Pistols (Sex Pistols),Into the Bleach (Blondie),Slow Hand (Eric Clapton)and Fred Zepplin (Led Zepplin), With 3 Promotions Companys under his belt (Zero Promotions, Global Rhythms and Hewell Promotions) Jeff decided to Join Forces with Local DJ Dom Harper after they met whilst jeff was playing at the British Grand Prix Silverstone with Local Band Rev-Limit (whose founder Member Is Chris Hodgetts Ex Back to Back British Touring Car Champion and includes Jonny Rotten). Dom unfortunatly found early on that Pomoting wasn't for him and left after 6 months,But in true British grit the Show Must Go On and so here we are today as Still Life Promotions. We as a promotion Company believe that the best bands are at grass root level and therefore aim to find the best bands and DJ's in the country to Help us Entertain People whether it be for Private Parties, Weddings, Pubs & Clubs or Corprate Events.If you want it the Chances are that we can supply it, We Dont mess People about and we Dont Rip Artists Off and we think our Prices and costomer service reflects this. Jon Edwards Punk/Rock Co-ordinater,DJ's and PromotionsStill Life Punk is run by Jon Edwards who has grown up with punk for 20 years and has 10 years experiance within the punk industry, from being the original founder and vocalist of Sex Pistols tributes Sussex Pistols and Essex Pistols, guitarist & songwriter for hardcore punk lunatics The Jinxed, to his acoustic sessions as The Macc Lad,and his full time shows with Rev. Limit Showband and everything in between.
