GINA REDWOOD & The Voices of Change

About Me

Gina Redwood is a gifted and anointed psalmist/songwriter, and if you know her, you know that she’s a very outgoing, loving, thoughtful, and humble woman. Although she is fairly new to the music industry, she has been singing since she was a little girl around the age of eight in the church choir. As a teenager she was inspired by her choir and chorus teacher, Dr. Negri (West Haven High) who introduced her to singing in different languages such as Italian and Spanish which to her were "Languages of Love". Later on in life she grew to love songs sung in French more than any other foreign language, but above all, it was the songs of Zion that over took her soul. She loves to sing about the goodness of God, and take her relationship with her Creator to be more than life itself. Over a short period of time after giving her life to Christ, Gina Redwood went from being a choir member to becoming choir director at Christian Fellowship C.O.G. (West Haven) She was also part of the Praise and Worship team and was a great leader in doing so until God saw fit to relocate her. She became a member of the group Adoration in the late summer of 2006 under the direction of David and Sandra Bowlings who was and still to this present day her vocal coach. It was during that period of time that God gave Gina the vision of becoming a Psalmist. She shared the vision with David and Sandra in December of 2006 who then, with the help of God directed her on the path that led to where she is today. Gina Redwood has since then sung in many different places along the eastern coast. She had her very first concert June 2, 2007 that was a great success and has sung with well-known artists such as Josh Groban and Melonie Daniels along with Chapter 2 Music Ministry out of New York in which she became a part of. She appeared on national television (Good Morning America, NBC, & Bravo) singing back up for Josh Groban during the Christmas Season Specials (2007). In this year 2008, she had the opportunity to sing at the famous Blue Note Café in NY City and was apart of the MGM Grand Opening at Foxwoods (May 17, 2008), singing back-up for Alicia Keys, and again, Josh Groban while having the pleasure of meeting David Foster and Quincy Jones. She was also honored and awarded the Influential Woman Award in Arlington, Virginia by the Christian Sistah’s Organization (Nov. 8th, 2008) for demonstrating excellence with the spirit of mentorship within the ministry of music. Gina was also inspired to put together a group, "Gina Redwood & The Voices of Change", that is taking off with great success thanks be to God, and is now working on her first CD “The Road To Destiny”. In her own words, God has been so good to her and she is looking forward to reaching higher levels in the years to come!
