The group hails from Tampere, a town in the heart of Finland, but none of its members was born there. The group was founded in the fall of 2003, and first recoding allready made next spring. After that started playing shows slowly, doing tours and so on.
The name of the group, which translates to 'the Extinction of Cyclops', suggests destruction of bigotry.
Every solution is a decision, but not all solutions enable or even require the same level of seriousness. Things are done with a serious intent, but also with heartfelt pleasure. Everything has to do with art and politics, which two after all should be seen as one. Every chord and banging, every sound is an addition to or an excerpt from the culture, which is vital to us. Every word of differentiation from the enervating world around us, which rapidly fails to ask permission to intervene with all existence, is a word supporting a better environment, based on our own, more responsible premises. And environment means the whole surrounding reality. Respect is granted only to those who give it, and it will be absolutely denied to anyone, who never intended to give others respect. This concerns all monetary power, authorities, but also each and every one of us in this society and the whole capitalistic Western world. Discussions are important and wise, but as long as matters concerning the lives of us all, concerning life, are held behind closed doors, we have a right to react to these discussions, and to those who decide for us, as strongly from our own points of view as these people do.
