Animus was started as a creative company dedicated to producing alternative moving image and sound. Its two partners, Nick Calpakdjian and Barry Harvey started the company in 2005 to service the film, video and music industry in Australia and abroad.
Since then it has produced, directed and edited music videos, documentary and tv shows.
Animus means 'of the soul.' We try to keep to this ethos in everything we do... Recently Nick returned from China where he visited remote rural communities to see where the $35000 he and 15 others raised was being used by Oxfam Australia. In conjunction with Urban Artistry in Collingwood we screened a short documentary on the experience alongside a photo exhibition of the adventure.
