At the age of 5, LaNesha was already connecting with people through her love of singing. Placing 2nd in competition for "Amateur Night at the Apollo" at age 11, reaffirmed LaNesha that when she performed people felt it. Inspired by God, her deep Gospel roots, and her successful performances, LaNesha continued to build confidence and skills. Growing up in a time when radio and music began to evolve into a mixture of R&B, Jazz, Funk, POP, and Dance, LaNesha became a musical extension of what she grew up listening to. Her deepest love, thanks and appreciation will always be given to God who has blessed her with the gift of song. LaNesha's most recent step toward stardom came when she was selected to be 1 of 8 contestants out of 15,000 for the Oprah Winfrey's "POP STAR CHALLENGE" moving on to finish as a top 3 finalist. Her desire is that through her success, she will touch the lives of many and encourage them to follow their dreams.
