The British legend is called The Curse of the Lambton Worm: A man named John Lambton was fishing in a pond when he suddenly caught what he thought was a worm, but unforunately when looking at it closer he noticed it had black skin, a long needle-like teeth, big black eyes, and many gill slits on its neck. He threw it into the well where it lived and grew legs. This Lambton worm ate all the livestock and terroritized all the villagers until John returned from a journey. He went to a witch and asked her what to do and she told him he must do three things, first wear this suit of armor with blades all over it, then confront the dragon in the middle of a river, and finally after he succeeded he had to kill the next living thing he saw. He was able to kill the dragon but unforunately the next living thing he saw was his father and so the Lambton heirs were cursed for the next nine generations.
