About Me

Most of my time is spent hiding away from the rest of the world. I do a lot of deep thinking late at night and on rainy days. I am a friendly person and can strike up a conversation with just about anyone. However, in general, people tend to disappoint me. It is wonderful to find those people who do not. Being silly is one of my favorite pastimes. Collecting "good junk" is another. By nature, I am a night owl. Although sunshine has wonderful healing powers, I love the darkness and the feeling of comfort that it brings. From time to time, I succumb to depression's hypnotic dance. The best cures are usually genuine conversation, a long drive or a good hug. My imagination is one of my better qualities, but simultaneously can also be my worst enemy. I am a single Mommy of two kiddos who are my world (although I would like to string them up at times...heh)~a 12 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. My memory sucks with the exceptions of numbers, smells, song lyrics, images and matters of the heart. Rambling on about absolutely nothing seems to come naturally. I am a "real sized" woman, not a skinny chick. However, my heart is the biggest part of me. My passions in life are laughter, nature, creativity and music. I'd like to meet:

People who are kind and do their best to enjoy life...who are mature, but can still goof off and have fun...and responsible, but spontaneous. Anyone that can see the beauty in simple things...who has the potential to become a great friend. Sense of humor is a must. ;)Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.I'd also love to meet Zakk Wylde. He is an extremely talented man. He was awesome with Ozzy and in Steel Dragon, but when I listen to the music from Black Label Society, Pride & Glory or his self-titled album "Book of Shadows", a lot of the lyrics feel as if they were pulled right out of my heart, mind and soul. He's a master guitar player and has a kick ass voice to go along with it. His talents are diverse, from slow piano laden tunes to head banging metal...and I love it all. He also doesn't follow in the footsteps of others, he makes his own...and that's what makes him so great.If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!"

I love just about any and all genres...from metal to oldies to bluegrass and everywhere in between. If it has a good rhythm, killer guitar playing or well-written lyrics, then I normally like it. I don't care much about who or what music is "cool" to be listening to or what anyone else thinks of my music choices. If it weren't for her, I honestly don't know where I'd be today.My Sister-A pain in the ass sometimes :P , but the type of person who doesn't let anyone or anything slow her down or hold her back. She goes right straight for whatever it is that she wants, with no hesitation or fear. She also just happens to be my best friend.My best friend, Elwood-Through the pain and suffering he endured in his short battle with cancer, he remained positive and strong clear through to the end.Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.The best feelings are those that have no words to describe them....Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.
