Days Of War formed in 2007, and has been hard at work ever since, playing countless shows, and recording their self titled EP within months of forming. Wasting no time, the EP was recorded over the summer of 2007 with Antonio Valenti at Hinchkraft studios. Over the next couple of months the band took New York by storm, playing as many as 3 shows a week, on a non-touring schedule. In these months the band graced the stages of The Chance in Poughkeepsie, New York. Mainstage in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey and The Pussycat Lounge in New York, New York. Days Of War has also played other countless venues and bars in the tri-state area, also venturing in to Danbury, Connecticut to play Cousin Larry's. Days Of War also performs acoustically, for more low key venues and performances, not to mention acoustic radio performances as well. The band has been featured, on 89.5 WMSC, Rockland World Radio, and Laguardia College Internet Radio, performing interviews, and their songs acoustically. Days Of War has also been featured in independent magazines, and webzines. The February 2008 issue of NJ Underground Magazine feature an artist spotlight on Days Of War.
In December 2008 Days Of War signed to Infinity Records based out of San Antonio, Texas and Cortland, New York. With Infinity Records behind them Days Of War plan to release their debut full length album in 2008. Initially this was the plan for Days Of War, but in February the band had inner conflicts that could not be resolved. Original bassist and founding member Dave Goyette and the rest of the band went seperate ways. Days Of War was left without a bassist, and had many important shows booked. They enlisted the help of a couple local musicians and searched for a permanent member. The search ended with Kevin Lowney, the newest member of Days Of War.
In May 2008 Days Of War decided to part ways with Infinity Records after there contract had ran out. This was due mostly to lack of support and promotion from Infinity Records, and lack of actual artist development. Days Of War is currently unsigned, and looking for a label who will be able to help us push our band as far as possible through touring, hard work, and non-stop promotion. Days Of War heads out for there first east coast tour August 1st.
