Sasha was born in Atlanta GA in 1983 to a musical family. After years of being surrounded by Russian folk music he decided to start making some of his own. At age 15 he asked his father (Eduard Svetlovsky) for a harmonica so he could have a portable instrument to practice on. His father showed him chord structures and scales on the piano, for ease of demonstration, which he then transfered to the harp. Eventually his interest in playing piano was just as strong as that for harmonica. Over the years his interest in genre has morphed from blues, to rock, then jazz, funk, bluegrass, and country. Eventually he wanted to reach out beyond the piano, rhodes, organ, or whatever instrument he had in his stage keyboard, so he purchased music software. At first the intention of the software was just to expand his sounds, but his productive nature pushed him to spend hours upon hours programming his songs. This productive side, along with his mystic philosophical side, blended together to produce his current trance enducing sound. He has, however, maintained his love for all other genres and can be seen playing live keyboard and harmonica with his Atlanta based band Almost Blue.
