Since 1996 Lost in the Rhythm has been dedicated to promoting Zydeco music (with a sprinkling of Blues) in Atlanta, Georgia. We've done this through producing music events featuring Zydeco bands from Louisiana and Texas and teaching Zydeco dance lessons. One of our proudest accomplishments was the production of a citywide music and dance festival to raise money for the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The name Lost in the Rhythm represents the merging of the music, the listener, musician, and dancer. It's that time when they all seem to become one rhythm -- each one lost but still present.
With the Atlanta Zydeco scene Is now rolling smoothly along, We've shifted Lost in the Rhythm's focus to providing a monthly "Zydeco Happenings" newsletter and promoting Zydeco T -- an Atlanta Zydeco band. The music on this site is from their recent release, "You Know You Want To!"
Even with this new focus -- Lost in the Rhythm is an eternal supporter of Zydeco music -- we encourage any touring Zydeco band to contact me if passing through or near Atlanta. We will do everything possible to help you fill out your schedule with a date in our hometown.
