I am a marine life artist living between Washington state, Southern California, and Florida. I was born in Newport Beach, Ca. I spent most of the time growing up in a small coastal town in Northern Ca. called Half Moon Bay, just down the Pacific coast from San Francisco. While growning up I enjoyed fishing and surfing, but after seeing the movie Jaws in the summer of 1975 I was hooked on anything Jaws related. After my parents bought me "The Jaws Log" and Edith Blakes "On Location The Making of Jaws" I spent most of my time in my 5th grade class drawing Bruce the Great White instead of doing my school work. So I guess its a good thing that Art is how I chose make my living. Art wasn't my first choice when it came to a career though, I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and felt that being a Rock Star like my Idol Ace Frehley of Kiss was the way to go. After moving back to the Los Angeles area in 82 I started playing with some local musicians and I was off to doing the Band thing for a few years. Playing music in clubs on the Sunset Strip in the 80's were some of the best times of my life. Being a guitar player in Hollywood during that era was great. I did finally get a deal in 85 and the album did okay, but never did make it to the multi platnum status that some of my friends and old bandmates did like Joey Allen of Warrent and Jack Russell of Great White did, which reminds me of when I did the cover art for Great White in 1999 Jack saying as he handed me my first copy " See I told you, you would make it onto a major lable" I finally gave up the Rock and Roll dream and decided to go back to my first artistic love, drawing and painting. Since I started taking my artwork serously, I have been fortunate enough to show my work in major galleries such as Wyland and Hogue. I have been the featured artist for fishing tournaments world wide, did the cover art for one of my favorite bands Great White, and was licensed with Universal studios to do products and prints of my artwork for my favorite movie Jaws. I have made many great friends and have some of my strongest relationships through the Jaws art I started in 2005 for the 30th anniversary of the release of Jaws on Mathas Vineyard. I have a Daughter named Jasmine who is almost 7 years old and she is the love of my life. She my single best accomplishment, and the best thing that has ever happened to me. She lives in Florida with her Mom who has done a great job raising her. I am also fortunate to have a great relationship and strong bond with Heather, Jasmines Mom though we aren't together anymore. I hope that covers the basics about me.
