BREN!, an independent singer/song-writer and drummer (formerly of Los Angeles/Sunset Strip metal favourites "Rattlehead"), has embarked on his first SOLO venture, a 'Nu-Prog' project in the melting pot styles of Dream Theater, Opeth, Breaking Benjamin, and Evanescence.Catchy hooks, Radio-friendly arrangements, and meaningful, heartfelt lyrics along with a pleasantly unique vocal style set this project apart from the norm in the Progressive and Alternative Rock genres.Although a new project from an artist of little notoriety, BREN! has garnered praise (even in its infancy) from a multitude of listeners, prompting a in-demand interview recently from Metal Dragon Promotions (myspace.com/poesraven333) by underground metal favourite "Nocturna Enchantress."An alumnus of Musician's Institute's (Los Angeles) Vocal Institute of Technology and Recording Artist Program, BREN has been cutting his teeth for many years as a session drummer for Capitol Records artist Karen Konnoff and Curb Records teen country sensation Little Brother (now defunct).As a songwriter, BREN! shows promise and has recieved high praise for his Multi-Instrumentalist, Vocal, and Song-Writing talents. He is unique in that he performs every instrument in addition to every vocal, and often makes him self comfortable in the engineer's chair. He is often labelled by his fans and devotees as, "the new voice of Prog." In any case, BREN! is making waves and generating buzz for his project, even in the production phase of his as-yet-untitled debut solo album since he is the sole performer (EVERY INSTRUMENT!) on it.His goals are to sign an independent record deal with broad distribution, as well as have his songs placed in Film, Television, and Video Games.Although a relatively new player on the field, BREN! shows much promise and a bright future.
