MyGen Profile Generatorchayo alvar fell into life as a dj by pure accident. being a very competitive person it wasn't until an aquaintance got a set of turn tables did chayo start to play with the wheels of steel and find a real love for music. In the end the aquaintance stopped mixing and chayo stepped up and carried on. Starting life as an old skool garage dj,chayo started to play and pick up many different types of music ranging from early bassment jaxx tunes and other hip hop rnb music and then mixing them into and out of old motown hits that were only collecting dust in the loft. No doubt this was a pain in the backside to his family as the noise levels were somewhat excessive, but even then the family and the neighbours didn't complain once. This was probably the first instance at where talent was realised by others and this spurred chayo on to continue. With weekly slots on Taste fm and later with entice FM chayo (under that first dj name of Jestus) developed a small following. This secured his first residency for Mcmahon promotions at their club night Exposure at club colosuem in vauxhall. Further residencies followed,and when the opportunity to play abroad came along, it was snapped up like a fat kid having a chocolate bar after a diet. Chayo played in Aiya Napa at Abyss nightclub where the Twice as Nice party was held and also at the castle club where Sun city was. Going abroad was a recurrent process playing at more club nights in Aiya Napa and also in Malia next to big names in the industry such as MC Viper, Psg Matt Jam Lamont and Martin Larner. Club and bar work followed and this opened the door to playing more electro, funky, soulful and chilled out house at bars in london such as Ministry of sound, Cafe de Paris,CC in london, INC bar in greenwich, Attic in Newcastle, Beyond bar and the sea nightclub and also at the Revolution bar in Clapham and in Bath. Chayo has also had a little dabble with promoting and has been successfully helping to run a regular weekly saturday night at Bar flux in Beckenham called Sinful. If chayo is honest to himselfhis attention span is short which makes him one of these people always full of energy with the desire to be on the go, so the idea of him sitting in an armchair producing music almost seemed blasphemous and shocking but there are currently works in progress. Just because of this versitility it will never stop chayo's desire to hold more club nights and do more work behind the wheels of steel.
