After a few months Checkmates, had only one song "Beer Spilt on the floor"-
In March their first big Gig was in the Feuerwache Schoeneweide, since this concert Checkmates are an official member of Berlin-Newcomerbands.
After, Checkmates played in other Clubs and Bars like the Wabe, Bunker, Hdjk
and Café Albrecht. Checkmates are three very young, determined musicians.
Majid is the drummer and he is 14.
Lewis is the bassplayer and is 14.
Curtis is the guitarist and the youngest of the band, 13.
With their Shows, they fascinated not only Berlin Newcomer Bands , but also other Old BNB bands like "Essen Auf Rädern".
