About Me

I write about music. I hate the term "critic" because it implies that I know what I'm talking about. I don't. I can tell you what I like and don't like and that's about as far as it goes. Quite honestly, the writing aspect is a hell of a lot more important to me than my idiotic opinion.
Feel free to send me CDs to review. I can't guarantee I'll like everything, but I'll be honest. And if I like what you do I may just consider an interview for the New York Waste .
So send vinyl and/or CDs to:

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Art-minded folks who aren't completely full of themselves. Bands are always welcome, as are fans of my writing. However, if you just want to tell me about paid surveys online, how I can get really cool ringtones or where I can watch you strip on a webcam for $5.95 a month, I'm simply not interested.

Richard Meltzer Tribute

Hey, I HAD to do it - if for no other reason, than to get the Meltzer out of my system so I could stop being mere imitation and solidify my own drunken writerly voice.  Truth is, I wouldn't be d...

Reflecting on "Reflections of Evil"

My first movie review.  Prior to writing this, I had the pleasure of speaking to Damon Packard, who gave me a good amount of insight into what he was going through with his fi...

LA Punk DVDs

Wow - the Meltzer influence wafts off this one like steam from a pile of shit.  An entertaining read, though, if I do say so myself.  Certainly one of my drunker moments.  And wha...

Turbo ACs at the Continental 1/18/02
