Kicking In Danger are a 5 piece rock band from Melbourne, Australia.
The band was formed by brothers Dan and Trav in early 2004. With Dan's powerful, natural stage presence and infectious vocal melodies and Trav's strong song-writing ability, chord knowledge and artistic flair, the pair began writing many songs together and began searching for new members to complete the line up. Pete Cox was the the first to join the band and has provided the drums and percussion that have become critical to the backbone of the band's sound.
In late 2004, after several jams with Pete, LJ's guitar styles were brought into the frame and he joined without hesitance. The band wrote and rehearsed many songs over the 2004 summer, with their first gig at their old primary school in early 2005. A great success, with many onlookers impressed by their sound, the band has since moved on to bigger and better things.
Mid 2005, Matty, joined the band adding to the line up a full time bass player which fortified the band's sound. Jamming and writing with Matty on board led to the creation of a much more dignified sound with greater potential in song writing and performance.
Since then, the band has progressed and matured musically and this is shown in the current material being produced and performed at live venues around Melbourne.
Last year, the band launched their debut EP 'Evolution' and have since written a new set of songs, which have established the band's distinctive style, after significant experimentation with different styles of music.
Rock on, and thanks for checking us out,
