J.Rell THE PRINCE OF YHGM

J.Rell born Jarell Donald Brogden Baltimore Maryland’s R&B prince, who’s edgy hardcore and deep raspy sound have got the people of the city wanting to know whothis soulful sound was. A lot of HIP-HOP artist in Baltimore wanted to use him on songs and put him down with there teams. But at the time J.Rell was playing basketball for a lot of AAU teams and high school. But in the spring of 2006 a up and coming artist by the name of Mark LUCKY Clark and CEO of YHGM(Young Hustlaz Getting Money) found him and wanted to work with him. He’s been with the label for 2years and hasn’t looked back yet.J.Rell started singing at a young age in his church. “Growing up I was use to music 24/7 because my mother was always singing or playing music. Then I started hearing R&B and getting use to singing out my range until my voice started changing”. I thought I’d never sing again because it had got so deep and raspy.but as I got older I learned that it was ok because it gave me more soul behind my tracks.At about 13 J.Rell started doing school shows to showcase his voice. At first people didn’t know what to make of my voice because I was 13 but sounding so grown. I never was singing soungs by young artist I was singing songs by Dru Hill,112 and R.Kelly. With music on his side he couldn’t go wrong until the death of his bestfriend. As a young teen that’s hard to go threw wen that’s all u had.With J.Rell’s personal life getting back on track he stop singing and got into basketball along with baseball. Growing up in Baltimore if u were nice in sports your name would always be n someones mouth. But all that came to a end when his grades were not good. “ I was something like a big deal in middle school and high school”. His mother Dawn Brogden-Ambush told him that if his grades didn’t get right there would be NO sports or music. Lets just say he got those grades on point and as you can see hes giving u hits.
