first of all, i am on facebook also. i have different things between there and here, so to get a full picture of who i am, find me on facebook.
i like to think that i am a complicated person. but in reality, i am pretty simple.
i am a sinner, saved by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). i am loved unconditionally by my heavenly Father (Romans 8:38-39), and i strive to love others in the same way He loves me (Matthew 37-40).
i think that Love is the most violent and complex thing a person can do. most of the time, it requires the heart of the Lover to be destroyed. why? because to truly Love someone, you have to know Love, and God is Love (1 John 4:8,16). so then to show Love, you have to show God.
and we hurt God daily.
another huge misconception about Love is that Love = acceptance and tolerance. that is not true. is it Loving to let a baby cry without feeding it? is it Loving to let the child die in the burning house without waking it? is it Loving to let your brother or sister slash their wrists because they choose to? no, Love is an action, performed by those who are mature enough to sacrifice their lives for those around them.
do you have what it takes to Love?
