ZeroFixx was formed in February of 2003 when Josh "Ogdog" Ogden, David "Bull" Robertson, John "LJ" Comstock, "Scary" Jon Probasco, and Torance "T-Baggs" Gains got together at the Sports Solutions warehouse to jam. They got lucky and quickly picked up Michael "Big Mike" Byers on Bass, and the search was on for a full time drummer. To help get songs along, Josh played the drums and then went back on the recorded songs and wrote the second guitar parts. After a month of searching, ZeroFixx completed their first line up by adding Curtis "Chosen One" Marache. Both Curtis and Josh Split time at 2nd guitar and Drums, and the ZF sound was soon born.
ZeroFixx performed their very first show at Lizard's Lounge in Wichita, KS opening for another local band. The crowd response was overwelming, and ZeroFixx was well on their way to solidifying their position within the Wichita Music scene.
In 2004, ZeroFixx completed their first studio album at Greenjeans studio in Wellington, KS and set a release date in April of that year. prior to the CD release, the band and Curtis parted ways, and Marshall "Oscar" Harrod was brought in the play the drums full time, with Josh moving to 2nd guitar full time. Good friends Kaotic Circle, My Fathers Gun, and Hollow Inside joined ZeroFixx on stage at America's Pub for the largest CD release show ever in the city of Wichita, with over 800 ZeroFixx CD's sold in one night.
The band toured hard in 2004 in support of their album, and by the end of the year, the stress had taken a toll on all of the members. 2005 brought a new, trimmed down lineup with founding members Bull, Torance, and Scary departing the band. James Dean was brought in on Vocals, and the "Jim" period was born. ZeroFixx spent the first half of 2005 in the studio, writing new material and prepping for a 2nd album recording (which began at Torn Studios but was never completed). The disc was going to be titled "Revolution of Evolution" and was slated to include 10 - 12 songs. In June of 2005, the band reached an anti-climatic end, with the remaining members putting the band to rest. This was a dark period for the band, and it was tough on everyone involved. James Dean went on to form Alien8, Michael played a stint with Kaotic Circle, LJ began a project with Scary Jon called Brutal Reign, and Josh and Marshall took a break to jam and write music together. At this point, Josh also formed a band with Mike "skinny" Baldwin called Level and explored some very alternative music to the traditional ZeroFixx style we had come to know and love.
Late in 2005, long time friend and supporter of the band Paul Banks, asked to band to reform for 1 special night - his annual Birthday bash. Josh, LJ, Michael, Marshall, and Bull all agreed to participate with Torance, Scary, and Curtis declining involvement. Luckily, Torance and Curtis were able to attend the festivies and take part in the ZeroFixx reunion, with Torance even getting up on stage to perform an encore performance of Donutland.
The show for Paul's birthday party revived the brotherhood and spirit of ZeroFixx, and the remaining 5 members decided to continue the legacy they had helped to build. Early in 2006, LJ had to step away due to time constraints and 2 (that's right!) 2 new children at home. The band took their scaled down lineup, tuned down their guitars, and began a rebirth of the ZeroFixx sound to a more straight forward, compact Metal meets Hard Rock.
Once the word was out that ZeroFixx was back together, the show requests poured in, and the band was able to hit many of their favorite cities in 2006, igniting fans and promising more to come for 2007 and beyond. In October of 2006, ZeroFixx released an EP entitled "metamorphosis" giving all of us fans a taste of the new and improved ZeroFixx. "Wow!" is all we can say!
