Born in Warren,Ohio on July 23rd, 1989 young Delshawn Walker was destined to be a star. Three years after birth he moved to Columbus, Ohio to start a new, better life with his mother, Crystal Blakely, A 23-year-old single parent determined to make life better for the two of them. At age four they discovered that he had many talents including drawing and singing MC Hammer songs. At age six his family discovered that he could rap which pleased his uncle Gregory A Banks Jr. who was a hardcore rapper looking for a record deal. When he was 7 years old his uncle died, and he decided from that age that he was going to rap when he grew up. Some years have gone by, the 19-year-old street smart young man is trying to stay out of trouble and make music, he's still going through alot of drama because of former gang relations and fights with other gang members, stress at school as well as at home. His main goal is to make music that everyone can feel and support his mother and her three other children, all boys. Music for him is the only reason he's not on the streets or in jail, music is his way out, still able to express himself, just in a different way now. Recently he's done a mixtape entitled 'New Year, New Money', he's done tracks such as 'My Swag' and 'Party like a RAPSTAR' remaking Jae Millz's 'My Swag' and Shop Boyz's 'Pary like a Rockstar'. Also, the new mixtape titled "Fuck Da Industry... Until they let me in it", a mixtape expressng his true feelings towards the record industry and the artists they're signing these days. Times still aren't easy for him though as he leaves a shady record company (Marko Records) on the north side of Columbus, he thinks to himself 'you live and you learn' Despite all that has happened to him throught his life, the loss of family memebers, getting hit by a car, getting arrested a few times, losing friend after friend, he's still standing like a champion and is not going to let anyone or anything stop him from getting the record deal he deserves. Just turning 19 on the 23rd of July this year, he is now enrolled in a local college located in downtown Columbus (CSCC) for Graphic Design. "Graphic Design is a popular career, not too many people have done it but EVERYBODY needs graphic work, from small business owners to BIG ASS companies like Coke & Pepsi, I see it as another opportunity just incase I dont make it w/ this rap", says Shawn. "As far as the rap goes though, I'm puttin my all in this shit man, I eat, sleep, shit, & breathe music man, since I was 6 years old listenin to Bone Thugs & my unlce G.R.I.P (R.I.P). Rap is all I know, and its all I wanna do, I'ma be 30 years old still in the booth & droppin mixtapes man, just watch", he says with a smile, "I'ma do it big b4 its all said & done". As far as life goes he's single, makes money any way possible and has his eye on making it big! His new mixtape is almost done and theres talk of an album in progress with producers such as N-O-T,Team GE3K, Flex and possibly himself. and the first single off the album "No Worries" has been performed on stage and is in the progress of becoming an official street single, "Look out for the 'No Worries' track on iTunes and Napster soon, I'ma give that song a shot" he says.
