As a founding member of seminal punk band SNFU, Belke recorded nine albums and toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and Australia. He left the band in 1998 to pursue his passion for film composition. His formal training includes a composition (Classical) BFA at Simon Fraser University and composition (Jazz) diploma at Vancouver Community College.
In addition to his continuing film work, he has been performing and writing with jazz/new music outfit, Existential Angst Party. His original compositions have premiered at the Sonic Boom Festival in Vancouver, as well as performed by the Elektra Women’s Choir, and the Drosera Ensemble.
