We hope you didn't miss the Balkan Beats dance floor on Stockholms kulturfestival the 17th of august. We sure were there and danced our asses of. Maybe we saw each other in the sweaty inferno, enjoying some heartful music in one of the last nights of the swedish summer.
Anyhow, promise you wont miss the concert with Fanfare Ciocarlia on Södra Teatern the second of november. It's something to look forward to now that the dark months of autumn is standing on our thresholds...
Our new favourite band is Tomidas. They did a great show at Färgfabriken the 29th september. As a guest singer they had Britta Persson who brought another dimension to their gypsy sound. Check it out!

This is us
Sthlm Balkan Hype is an ambitious new project with a vision of bringing the Balkan Brass sound to our beautiful, but sometimes musically pale, city of Stockholm.
Why
The main purpose with the project is to hype all of the Balkan gigs, happenings and clubs that are taking place in Stockholm.
But we are also here to encourage and inspire up-comming acts and other bands we hope will visit the Scandinavian Balkan-scene. We like all kinds of Balkan beats, both traditional and modern remixes!
We would be happy if everybody interested in Balkan Brass gives us a hand in spreading the news and updates. We therefore welcome any tip that you have on any concert, club, festival or private party that you think fits into the context of this myspace. So please help us to update and send us photos you connect to Stockholm and brass music!
