Mariachi Real de Chihuahua was founded in January of 2005. This professional group has quickly become one of Las Cruces’ premier mariachis. This eleven piece group is comprised of members who have been playing mariachi music for several years. Together they have formed a fun and vibrant team. All members in the group have a great love for music and enjoy their audience’s enthusiasm and appreciation for the tradition of mariachi music. Many of the group’s members also serve as mentors and role models for youth mariachi groups in Las Cruces and passionately enjoy the sharing of our cultural heritage to the younger generation. In November 2005 the group was featured as the promotional mariachi for the 11th Annual LC International Mariachi conference. The group has performed at the Showcase for the past two years, and is honored to have shared stage with Mariachi Cobre for the Mariachi Conference Mass. The group has been featured at many community events as well as out of state. Mariachi Real de Chihuahua is available to perform for all events and occasions.
