Happy New Year family and friends! 2009 was an extremely busy year for the Olson family. I'm excited to see what's in store for 2010! Steve and I have two amazing children, Ashley Marie 14 and Jonathan Tyler 8. Ashley is now in high school! Hard to believe how time flies! She is much taller than me now. :) She stays busy with band, softball, friends, and texting. Jonathan is in 3rd grade and finished his first season playing tackle football. They won the championship! Woohoo.....it was an exciting season! He's getting ready to start soccer season and of course it will be freezing out! They keep us extremely busy! I have two beautiful nieces, Kayla Marie and Emily Morgan whom I love as my own. Kayla is at Texas Tech (Go Red Raiders!) and Emily is still very busy bossing everyone around. My parents moved to Guam this past November so you can imagine the amount of tears that have fallen since then. The holidays were tough, but we got through it. Mom and dad are doing fine, but they hate being away from their grandkids. They plan to be back in Texas within the next 3 years. I am a registered nurse working as a Clinical Nurse Leader on a med-surg/telemetry unit at the VA Hospital in Temple. I finally left the ICU after 11 years. I miss it but it was time for a change. Joletta and I graduated from The University of Alabama with our Master's degree in Nursing. Roll Tide! Woohoo! It was a rough journey but we did it......we did it together! Now time to sit back, enjoy life, and enjoy my family. My advice to everyone.... Don't sweat the small stuff. Smile and laugh everyday EVEN when it seems impossible! No regrets.....live in the moment....life is way too short!
