Growing up in Scribner,NE Deann began singing at the age of 4 with a rendition of "Away in the Manger" during her church's Christmas program. Since then, she's never stopped and she's downright addicted to it. Deann has constantly found a way to use her talents, from singing in choirs and bands to acting and singing in community theater. Her biggest musical influences include Faith Hill, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, and Shania Twain. Also volunteers for various organizations and spends her free nights creating concoctions in the kitchen. Most importantly she plays wife to Greg and mom to dog Kira, and cats Lily and Chrissy.Myles - Lead Guitar/Vocals

Raised on a farm in Burr Oak, Kansas, John became interested in music at the age of four. His mother, a music major, bought him his first drum set at the age of six and John has been playing every since. Inspired by drummers of the 60's era, John learned the finer points of drumming through practicing with the old 45's and listening to the radio. He started his first band at the age of 12 and has played with many top notch bands and musicians over the years."The love of music and the will of God has enabled me to achieve many goals in the music business", Garman said. "I beleive if God gives you a talent you should use it to the best of your ability whether it be music or any other talent. I feel I have been blessed to have stayed in the music business all these years and have made many friends."John brings alot of experience and talent to Slingshot and is a major driving force in the [email protected] - Bass/Vocals
Cody Hanson grew up farming near Holdrege, NE. Music was always important in his life. He always enjoyed singing in school plays. In high school, he decided to pick up the bass guitar and within six months was playing in the high school jazz band. Most of Cody's influence that early on was from jazz and from the modern rock that was popular at that time. (Korn, Limp Bizkit, Red Hot Chili Peppers, NIN) Cody moved to Hastings in 2001 after graduating High School, and basically put down the guitar and spent most of his time working on production and audio equipment. (not knowing he that they would serve this purpose later)
Now that is why you see the bass player flipping switches and pushing buttons all while trying to play and sing at the same time. Cody is also the son-in-law of the drummer John, and they have they amazing ability to know what each other is thinking, most of the [email protected] - Keys/Vocals
Gordie Will grew up in Hastings, NE and while a young one studied and played the accordian. While in college he taught himself to play the bass guitar. Later on in his life he has settled with the keyboards. Gordie proudly plays the distinct sound of the Hammond organ / Leslie combo. "One of the truly great sounds of all time", he adds. Also complimenting his stand is the many sounds of the Korg Synth. You'll never know what you might hear on the ole synth besides piano, maybe harmonica, bagpipes, strings, a jet plane. Besides playing keys Gordie is an important part of the SlingShot harmonies you hear on most songs. He's got a wide vocal range.
He has played with bands such as Ripplin' Waters, WammaJamma, and Gordie & the Jam Band. His musical influences include Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, The Doors, Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac. Give him a [email protected]
